The lowest point in Nepal is 59 m above sea-level in the Terai region while the highest point is the peak of Mt Everest, 8,848 m above sea-level. There are three main trekking areas, the Everest, Langtang?and the Annapurna regions, each of which has distinct offerings, both in scenic views and levels of difficulty. Depending on how much time you have and what you want to see, there is a trek for everyone.
In each of the main trekking regions, guesthouses?have been established where trekkers can find accommodation, food and experience the local culture on the way. The majority of the trails are also well maintained.
Best season to trek in Nepal is during the Spring and Autumn months.
Spring (March ? May):
The temperature is warmer than Autumn trekking season, and you will see blooming Lali Gurans, the national flower of Nepal. As you ascend, you will be greeted with over 30 species of rhododendrons at an elevation between 1400m and 3600m.
Autumn (October ? November):
The temperature is moderate, and you are rewarded with clear views of the mountains due to good weather that is typical in autumn, and you may also see snow at higher altitudes.
This 15 days Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek will take you to the highest point of 4130m above sea level.
