It’s finally here, Wildfire Expeditions is now offering Singapore National Abseiling Standards Certification Level 1!
Get certified, learn from talented instructors who are also climbers, and become certified to abseil (Rappel). This respected course will build on from your top rope skills if you are a climber already. You will progress from learning techniques on the ground to Abseiling on your own!
SNAS Level 1 certification is also a prerequisite for SNCS Level 3.
What will you learn:
- Introduction to Abseiling concept, setup and equipment
- Equipment fit for harness and helmet
- Rope Management
- Objective & subjective climbing hazards and safety protocols
- Introduction to anchors
- Abseiling technique using a Figure 8 Descender
- Abseiling commands, terminology and communication protocol
- Self rescue, apply lock-on system with leg wrap
This course is also useful for experienced climbers and mountaineers who want to master the skill of rappelling independently. Such self-sufficiency aids a quick descent.
